Problem Gambling Facts, Prevention, and Treatment Resources with Choices Treatment Center

March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month. As gambling becomes more normalized and readily available, problem gambling concerns have become more prevalent. Problem gambling is much more than a behavioral or a financial issue-it is a public health concern. However, there is free and confidential help for Nebraskans struggling with their gambling behavior. A problem gambler in recovery, Mike Sciandra has used his lived experience to help others reduce gambling-related harm. This presentation will examine the statistics behind problem gambling, how problem gambling affects individuals and families, and free treatment options (right here in Columbus) for those who are struggling with their gambling behavior.
